Bihar floods: 69.81 lakh people in 13 districts affected

Bihar is one of the most flood-prone regions of India, with nearly 76%
of the state's population of north Bihar living under the constant
threat of flood devastation.
After the incessant rains in Nepal as on August 2017, the danger of flood also loomed across the Kosi belt in Bihar.
As per the speculations Bihar was hit by floods and nearly two million people were affected and thousands had to be evacuated as on August 14, 2017.
Over one million people were affected in the worst-hit districts of Kishanganj, Araria, Purnea and Katihar.
